I measured the walls of this stove at 2mm/.08" and the top plate at 4mm/.15". All solid stainless steel. Most of the bolts and fittings are stainless steel as well. It's a quality stove.
Fit and finish are very good. The door latches easily and snugly. The side shelves attach simply and securely. The 8 section chimney goes together snugly. The bottom 5 sections are a larger diameter than the top 3 sections. This is accomplished with a reducer section. The quite tall stovepipe ends with a spark arrestor section at the top. A fitting and guy ropes are also included to secure the stovepipe in high winds.
Draft is controlled in the usual way. There is an adjustable vent at the bottom of the door and a butterfly valve on the bottom section of stovepipe. All 4 sides of the stove body feature glass panels so you can enjoy viewing the flames. But as with all woodstoves like this, the glass will become obscured with soot and must be cleaned regularly.
The stove includes a robust sheet metal stand. The stove body fits inside the legs of this stand to simplify transportation and storage. Most but not all of the stovepipe and included accessories fit inside the stove for storage.
